How to play:

In this game, you have no health, but your easy life experience is ruined by time. TIME represents your health, and also robots are chilling around, that may shoot you and then your TIME reduces. Luckily you have power-ups and guns, but they'll not help you to fight against TIME. Beat the level without running out of TIME.

Controls:

  • Use WASD to move.
  • Use WASD also to target with the gun(W targets top, A right and W and D pressed at the same time targets to top right corner)
  • Hold Left shift when aiming to freeze your movement(so you can target with the gun without moving)
  • Jump with SPACE
  • Hold ENTER(RETURN) to shoot(if you are using sniper, hold enter to target . When you release it, sniper shoots)
  • Use E to interact with items(pick up a gun, open a chest)

Power-ups:

  • Green-instant reloads power-up(if your gun runs out of bullets while you have this power-up, you reload instantly and lose this power-up). You can hold up to 3 of these at a time.
  • Blue- time stop power-up(until you have this power-up, everything in the scene freezes(including time and bullets, except you can move). Duration: 3 seconds. You can have only one power-up of time stop and time warp at a time.
  • Red-time warp (if you run out of time and have this power-up, you return to a time when you picked it up-every enemy gets health equal to health when you picked up this power-up, you get as much time, as you had, when picked up this power-up, you get gun, you had then picked up this power-up. Duration 20 seconds. You can have only one power-up of time stop and time warp at a time.

I like the aesthetic of the game, The only issue  i had was as mentioned in previous comments is the getting stuck on the wall when trying to jump to other platforms. But Well done great job

Thank You !!! We glad you liked it.

I really like the setting of your game. With that old TV and that you use it as a hud. Really cool idea :-). Also I like that you can fix your player at a certain position while aiming. I think I haven't seen something before (but to be honest: I haven't played much of that genre).

For me the hardest thing of the game was: reaching other platforms. I often stuck on sides. And were I also lost a lot of time was at the slope on the bottom-right side of the game. Jumping from there is really difficult (also because the player jumps by himself when running upwards).

Here are also some ideas which crossed my minds (let's say feature requests ^^):

  • Consider damn lazy people like me not reading the text below the game. So e.g. when you collect a power up may display a text in the middle of the screen informing the player about it.
  • The TV-Frame is an awesome idea. Please use it's full power. So what I could imagine:
    • Add sound controls there (vol+, vol-, mute)
    • Add picture controls there (like different effects. B/W or different PostProcessing Profile which you can switch through)
    • On/Off button (may as kind of pause which turns the image into black. Don't have to be useful. Could also be just a gimmick)
    • If you ever add a menu: have some nice transition between game and menu like the old TVs did (you know: those nice screen which looks like all ants on the world are running on your tv)

So keep on going. The idea is really good :-)

(1 edit)

Thanks for great comment. You can fix yourself in place, when aiming with holding ctrl. And also you can jump off platform sides(walljump).
